Awesome Forces uses a Loot Council for 10 man raiding. We feel that this system will work better for us than any DKP point type system We feel that in our 10 man situations that an upgrade for somebody, regardless of who it is, will benefit the entire raid team and it's progression.
Our Loot Council will be made up of 3 players. The Raid Leader and two others. Preferably those two players will consist of an officer and a member, but this may not always be possible. The Loot Council will attempt to remain unchanged for each and every raid as we have set raid teams. There will of course be backups in case real life intervenes and one player of the L.C. cannot attend the raid.
In each case of loot distribution, we will attempt to be as quick as possible as we have limited time each night to progress. We ask that if anybody disagrees with the way loot is being handled that they speak to the Guild Master, Akkups/Varlah, after the raid. The matter will be investigated quickly and quietly to determine if an error was made, and what to do in the future to prevent another problem.
Anybody that cannot realize that an upgrade is an upgrade for the raid and not just for an individual, is somebody we don't wish to raid with. People who care only about themselves and seeing their character progess is not somebody we wish to have in the guild.
While there are some guidelines we will be following, each drop is a case by case basis.
1) Players who can ONLY wear cloth, will receive priority on cloth items. Leather / Mail hybrids may not claim this piece over a cloth wearer because they have the opportunity for leather or mail and the cloth wearer does not.
1a) If the cloth item happens to be a healing piece (lots of spirit) and there is a priest and a druid healer in the group, if it's only 1% better for the priest and 85% better for the druid, we would consider giving it to the druid as it would help the raid better.
2) If an item is an even 10% upgrade for both of two players who wish to have the item, attendance and preparedness will play into the decision. If one of the players is always on time with everything they need to raid, and the second is constantly late and holding up the raid, we would consider giving the first player the item to show gratitude for upholding thier end of the workload when it comes to raiding.
2a) If the item is an even 10% upgrade for both of two players who wish to have the item, both players are always on time and come prepared and are identical in all ways that pertain to raiding, a simple /roll can solve the issue of who wins the item.
For 25 man raiding events where more than one guild and pugged players are participating, loot will be loot mastered and done on an in-spec /roll basis with one in-spec epic per person per night unless defaulted.
For any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask any officer in game.
